1. An Overview of Data Protection
General Information

How do we collect your data?
Some of your data is collected because you provide it to us. This may be data you enter into a contact form, for example.
Other data is collected automatically, or with your consent, by our IT systems when you visit the website. This is primarily technical data (for example your internet browser, operating system, or the time the page was accessed). This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website.
What do we use your data for?
Some of the data is collected to ensure that the website is provided free of errors. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipients, and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have a right to request the rectification or erasure of this data. If you have given consent to data processing, you can withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. In addition, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances. Furthermore, you have a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
You can contact us at any time regarding this and any further questions on the subject of data protection.

2. Hosting
We host the content of our website with the following provider:
Hostinger
The provider is Hostinger International Ltd., 61 Lordou Vironos str., 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus (hereinafter Hostinger). When you visit our website, Hostinger records various log files, including your IP address. For details, please see Hostinger's privacy policy: https://www.hostinger.com/legal/privacy-policy.
This website is a purely static website. No content management system and no database run on the server; no visitor or customer data is held there. Beyond delivering the pages and the server log files, Hostinger processes only the information you enter into our contact form on our behalf, and that information solely for the purpose of forwarding it by email (see the section “Contact form”).
The servers on which this website is hosted are located in the European Union; the website is delivered via a Hostinger content delivery network with nodes in Frankfurt am Main, among other locations. Where Hostinger uses sub-processors outside the EU, it bases such transfers on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission.
Hostinger is used on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in presenting our website as reliably as possible. Where corresponding consent has been requested, processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, insofar as the consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's device (for example device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
Processing on Our Behalf
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the service named above. This is a contract required by data protection law which ensures that the provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR. Hostinger provides the agreement at https://www.hostinger.com/legal/dpa.
3. General Information and Mandatory Information

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection provisions and this privacy policy.
When you use this website, various personal data is collected. Personal data is data by which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains which data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.
We would like to point out that data transmission over the internet (for example when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Information on the controller
The controller for data processing on this website is:
Hakim Healthcare - Orthodontist Frankfurt
Mohammad Hakim
Zeil 81
60313 Frankfurt am Main
Phone: +49 176 56766547
Email: info@hakimh.de
The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (for example names, email addresses, and the like).
Retention period
Unless a more specific retention period is stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for erasure or withdraw your consent to data processing, your data will be erased, unless we have other legally permissible grounds for storing your personal data (for example retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, the data will be erased once those grounds no longer apply.
General information on the legal bases for data processing on this website
If you have consented to the data processing, we process your personal data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR or Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR, where special categories of data pursuant to Art. 9(1) GDPR are processed. In the case of explicit consent to the transfer of personal data to third countries, the data processing is additionally carried out on the basis of Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. If you have consented to the storage of cookies or to access to information on your device (for example via device fingerprinting), the data processing additionally takes place on the basis of Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. If your data is required for the performance of a contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Furthermore, we process your data where this is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. Data processing may also be carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Information on the legal bases relevant in each individual case is provided in the following paragraphs of this privacy policy.
Note on data transfers to the USA and other third countries
Among other things, we use tools from companies based in the USA or other third countries that are not secure under data protection law. When these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to these third countries and processed there. We would like to point out that no level of data protection comparable to that of the EU can be guaranteed in these countries. For example, US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (for example intelligence services) process, evaluate, and permanently store your data held on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.
Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 GDPR)
IF THE DATA PROCESSING IS CARRIED OUT ON THE BASIS OF ART. 6(1)(e) OR (f) GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT AT ANY TIME TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA ON GROUNDS RELATING TO YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS THE PERSONAL DATA CONCERNED UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS, AND FREEDOMS, OR THE PROCESSING SERVES THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE, OR DEFENSE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(1) GDPR).
IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT MARKETING (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21(2) GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, their place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. This right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only take place insofar as it is technically feasible.
Right of access, rectification, and erasure
Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data. You can contact us at any time regarding this and any further questions on the subject of personal data.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time to do so. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored with us, we generally need time to verify this. For the duration of the verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data was or is unlawful, you can request the restriction of the data processing instead of erasure.
- If we no longer need your personal data but you require it for the exercise, defense, or establishment of legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
- If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21(1) GDPR, a balance must be struck between your interests and ours. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may – apart from being stored – only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims, or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or of a member state.
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser bar.
When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
Objection to advertising emails
The use of contact data published within the scope of the legally required imprint for the purpose of sending advertising and information material that has not been expressly requested is hereby prohibited. The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example by spam emails.
4. Data Collection on This Website
Cookies
Our web pages use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small data packets and do no harm to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (persistent cookies). Session cookies are deleted automatically at the end of your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until they are deleted automatically by your web browser.
Cookies may originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain services of third-party companies within web pages (for example cookies for handling payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Numerous cookies are technically necessary, since certain website functions would not work without them (for example the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies may be used to evaluate user behavior or for advertising purposes.
Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you have requested (for example the shopping cart function), or to optimize the website (for example cookies for measuring the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is stated. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Where consent to the storage of cookies and comparable recognition technologies has been requested, the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of that consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG); consent can be withdrawn at any time.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.
You can find out which cookies and services are used on this website in this privacy policy.
Consent with CCM19
This website uses the consent technology CCM19 to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies on your device or to the use of certain technologies, and to document this in compliance with data protection law. The provider of this technology is Papoo Software & Media GmbH, Auguststr. 4, 53229 Bonn, website: https://www.ccm19.de/ (hereinafter “CCM19”).
The consent dialog is loaded from the servers of CCM19. In the process, your IP address is technically transmitted to CCM19, because it is required in order to deliver the file. According to the provider, the following is stored in order to document your decision:
- the date and time the page was accessed
- a randomly generated identifier that does not establish any link to your person
- your consent or consents, or the withdrawal of your consent or consents
In addition, CCM19 stores the decision on your device so that you are not asked again on further page visits. The servers of CCM19 are located in Germany; no transfer to third countries takes place for this service. CCM19 processes your IP address only in order to deliver the dialog; it is not included in the consent record. Your decision is stored in your browser’s local storage (entry “ccm_consent”) for 12 months, after which we ask you again.
The data collected is stored until you ask us to erase it, until you delete the “ccm_consent” entry in your browser’s local storage, or until the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
You can change or withdraw your decision at any time via the cookie icon at the bottom left of every page.
CCM19 is used in order to obtain the legally required consents for the use of certain technologies and to be able to demonstrate them. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Processing on Our Behalf
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the service named above. This is a contract required by data protection law which ensures that the provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
Server log files
The provider of these pages — Hostinger, see the section “Hosting” — automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser transmits automatically. This is:
- browser type and browser version
- operating system used
- referrer URL
- host name of the accessing computer
- time of the server request
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources. No evaluation for advertising or analysis purposes takes place.
This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and the optimization of its website and in defending against attacks – for this, the server log files must be recorded.
Hostinger stores the log files only for as long as is necessary for the secure operation of the website and for defending against attacks, and then deletes them automatically. We do not evaluate them ourselves.
Contact form
A form is available on our contact page. We collect your first name, last name, email address, phone number, the subject you select (cooperation inquiry, job application, or other), and your message. Please do not submit any information about your health via this form — for treatment matters, please use the appointment booking or give us a call.
Your details are not stored on our server. Immediately after you submit them, they are forwarded as an email to our practice address (info@hakimh.de) and then discarded — no log, no database entry, and no copy is created on the server. Your IP address is not included in this email. No external form service is used, and no disclosure to third parties takes place.
To protect against automated misuse, we check whether an additional field that is invisible to humans has been filled in and how much time has elapsed between the form being opened and submitted, and we limit the number of submissions per internet connection. For this purpose, a check value of your IP address (a SHA-256 hash value formed with a random secret that changes daily) is stored on the server together with the submission times. Entries older than one hour are deleted the next time the form is used; the secret is deleted daily, after which a check value can no longer be linked to any IP address. The IP address itself is not stored. No captcha service — such as Google reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha, or Friendly Captcha — is used. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; we have a legitimate interest in protecting our form against mass automated submissions.
Your details are processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry is connected with the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) where this has been requested; consent can be withdrawn at any time. If your submission is a job application, the section “Handling of applicant data” applies in addition.
To send the email, our server uses our practice's existing email account with IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur (hereinafter IONOS). IONOS processes your message exclusively in order to transmit it and make it available in our mailbox; the servers are located in Germany. We have concluded a data processing agreement with IONOS. Your message remains in our mailbox until you ask us to erase it, until you withdraw your consent to its storage, or until the purpose for storing it no longer applies (for example once your request has been dealt with). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Inquiries by email, phone, or fax
If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your inquiry including all personal data arising from it (name, inquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
This data is processed on the basis of Art.
The data you send us via contact inquiries remains with us until you ask us to erase it, until you withdraw your consent to its storage, or until the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (for example once your request has been dealt with). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.
Communication via WhatsApp
For communication with our customers and other third parties, we use, among other things, the instant messaging service WhatsApp. The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.
Communication takes place via end-to-end encryption (peer-to-peer), which prevents WhatsApp or other third parties from gaining access to the content of the communication. However, WhatsApp does receive access to metadata that arises in the course of the communication process (for example sender, recipient, and time). We would also like to point out that, according to its own statement, WhatsApp shares personal data of its users with its parent company Meta, which is based in the USA. Further details on data processing can be found in the WhatsApp privacy policy at: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/#privacy-policy.
WhatsApp is used on the basis of our legitimate interest in communicating as quickly and effectively as possible with customers, prospective customers, and other business and contractual partners (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where corresponding consent has been requested, the data processing takes place exclusively on the basis of that consent; it can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
The communication content exchanged between us and on WhatsApp remains with us until you ask us to erase it, until you withdraw your consent to its storage, or until the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (for example once your inquiry has been dealt with). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.
Dr. Flex (online appointment booking)
For online appointment booking, we have embedded Dr. Flex on this website. The provider is Dr. Flex GmbH, Stresemannstraße 21, 10963 Berlin (hereinafter Dr. Flex).
So that the booking window opens without delay when you click “Book Appointment,” your browser preloads the booking script from Dr. Flex’s servers shortly after you open one of our pages. In doing so, your IP address and technical information about your browser (for example browser type and the page visited) are transmitted to Dr. Flex; no cookies are set at this stage. Only when you click “Book Appointment” does the booking module open; from that point on, Dr. Flex may use cookies or comparable recognition technologies. The information you then enter in the booking form (for example name, contact details, preferred appointment, and reason for the visit) is processed on the servers of Dr. Flex and stored there on our behalf.
The booking script is preloaded on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in fast and reliable appointment booking, especially on mobile devices. The booking module itself opens only upon your express click; to that extent it constitutes a telemedia service requested by you within the meaning of Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, and no separate consent is requested for it. The legal basis for processing your booking information is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (implementation of pre-contractual measures or performance of the treatment contract). Insofar as health data is processed in this context, this is done on the basis of Art. 9(2)(h) GDPR in conjunction with Section 22(1) no. 1(b) BDSG.
Your appointment data remains with Dr. Flex until you ask us to erase it or until the purpose for storing it no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular the dental documentation and retention obligations – remain unaffected. Further information can be found in the privacy policy of Dr. Flex: https://dr-flex.de/datenschutz.
Processing on Our Behalf
We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) for the use of the service named above. This is a contract required by data protection law which ensures that the provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
5. Social Media
No Facebook elements are embedded on this website; no connection to Facebook is established when our pages are accessed. However, we do operate a company profile on Facebook. The provider is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. When you visit our profile, Meta processes personal data such as your IP address and – if you are logged in – profile data; according to Meta, the data may also be transferred to the USA and to other third countries. We and Meta are joint controllers for the processing of the page insights (Art. 26 GDPR); you can find the wording of the agreement at https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum. We have no influence over any processing by Meta going beyond this. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in corporate communication). Further information can be found in the privacy policy of Facebook: https://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.
No Instagram elements are embedded on this website. We merely link to our profile; only when you click this link do you leave our website. The provider is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland. When you visit our profile, Meta processes personal data such as your IP address and – if you are logged in – profile data; the data may also be transferred to third countries outside the EU. We and Meta are joint controllers for the processing of the profile insights (Art. 26 GDPR); you can find the wording of the agreement at https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum. We have no influence over any processing going beyond this. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in corporate communication). Further information can be found in the privacy policy of Instagram: https://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.
YouTube
On our website we link to our YouTube channel; only when you click this link do you leave our website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. When you visit our channel, YouTube processes personal data such as your IP address and – if you are logged in – data from your Google account. We have no influence on this data processing. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in corporate communication). For more information, see Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
TikTok
On our website we link to our profile on TikTok. The provider is TikTok Technology Limited, 10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, D02 T380, Ireland. When you visit our TikTok profile, TikTok may collect personal data, including your IP address and device data – even if you do not have a TikTok account of your own. The data collected may be transferred to third countries outside the EU. We have no influence over this data processing. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in corporate communication). Further information can be found in the privacy policy of TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/legal/page/eea/privacy-policy/de-DE
6. Analysis Tools and Advertising
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Tag Manager is a tool that allows us to integrate tracking or statistics tools and other technologies on our website. Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, does not store cookies, and does not carry out any analyses of its own. It merely serves to manage and deliver the tools integrated through it. However, Google Tag Manager does record your IP address, which may also be transferred to Google's parent company in the United States.
Google Tag Manager is loaded only after you have given your consent in the cookie settings. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG; consent can be withdrawn at any time.
In addition, we use Google Consent Mode: the Google services integrated via Tag Manager are active only to the extent you have consented to in the cookie settings (for example statistics, but not advertising).
Google Analytics
This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. In doing so, the website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, length of visit, operating systems used, and the user’s origin. For this purpose, Google Analytics assigns a pseudonymous identifier (client ID), which is stored in a cookie (“_ga”) on your device.
In addition, events such as scrolling to the end of a page or clicks on links to other websites may be recorded. Google Analytics also uses modeling approaches to supplement the collected data sets and employs machine learning technologies in data analysis.
Google Analytics uses cookies that make it possible to recognize your browser for the purpose of analyzing user behavior. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. The information collected by Google about the use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
The “_ga” cookie has a lifetime of up to 2 years. Event data collected in Google Analytics is automatically deleted after 14 months at the latest.
This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. You can find details here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.
Browser plugin
You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
You can find more information on how user data is handled in Google Analytics in Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.
Google Signals
If you are signed in to your Google account and have allowed personalized advertising there, Google may link the usage data from our website to your account (Google Signals) in order to create cross-device statistics. We receive only aggregated reports, never information about individual persons. You can deactivate this link in your Google account settings.
Processing on Our Behalf
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.
Google Ads
The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program of Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
Google Ads enables us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when the user enters certain search terms on Google (keyword targeting). Targeted advertisements can also be displayed based on the user data available at Google (for example location data and interests) (audience targeting). As the website operator, we can evaluate this data quantitatively by analyzing, for example, which search terms led to our advertisements being displayed and how many advertisements led to corresponding clicks.
This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. You can find details here: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks and https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.
Google Ads Remarketing
This website uses the functions of Google Ads Remarketing. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
With Google Ads Remarketing, we can assign people who interact with our online offering to specific target groups in order to subsequently show them interest-based advertising in the Google advertising network (remarketing or retargeting).
Furthermore, the advertising target groups created with Google Ads Remarketing can be linked to Google's cross-device functions. In this way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been adapted to you depending on your previous usage and browsing behavior on one device (for example a mobile phone) can also be displayed on another of your devices (for example a tablet or PC).
If you have a Google account, you can object to personalized advertising at the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.
This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
You can find further information and the data protection provisions in Google's privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de.
Google conversion tracking
This website uses Google conversion tracking. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
With the help of Google conversion tracking, Google and we can recognize whether the user has carried out certain actions. For example, we can evaluate which buttons on our website were clicked how often and which products were viewed or purchased particularly often. This information is used to create conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our advertisements and which actions they carried out. We do not receive any information that would allow us to identify the user personally. Google itself uses cookies or comparable recognition technologies for identification.
This service is used on the basis of your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
You can find more information on Google conversion tracking in Google's data protection provisions: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
7. Plugins and Tools
YouTube (two-click solution)
In individual posts we embed videos from YouTube. The operator of the service is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
The videos are not loaded automatically. When you open the page, you initially see only a preview image, which comes from our own server. Until then, no connection to Google is established and no data is transferred to Google. Only when you click “Load video” is the player loaded.
From that point on, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. In doing so, your IP address and information about which of our pages you have visited are transferred to Google; the data may also be transferred to the USA. We use the extended data protection mode (youtube-nocookie.com). According to YouTube, this means that YouTube does not store any information about you before you watch the video; however, this does not necessarily rule out the transfer of data to YouTube partners. Once a video has started, YouTube may store cookies on your device or use comparable recognition technologies (for example device fingerprinting). If you are logged into your YouTube account, Google can assign your browsing behavior to your profile; you can prevent this by logging out. Further processing operations over which we have no influence may be triggered after a video has started.
If JavaScript is disabled in your browser, the video is not loaded and no connection to Google is established.
The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG, which you give by clicking “Load video” for the respective video. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.
The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. You can find further information on data protection at YouTube in Google's privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Fonts (served locally)
For the uniform display of fonts, this site uses its own font files, which are delivered exclusively from our own server. No connection to third-party servers – in particular to Google Fonts – takes place in this context; your IP address is not transferred to third parties for this purpose.
Google Maps
This site uses the map service Google Maps. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
In order to use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to store your IP address. This information is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence over this data transfer. When Google Maps is activated, Google may use Google Fonts for the uniform display of fonts. When you open Google Maps, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly.
The map is loaded only after you have given your consent in the cookie settings. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG; consent can be withdrawn at any time.
The transfer of data to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. You can find details here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/gdprcontrollerterms/ and https://privacy.google.com/businesses/gdprcontrollerterms/sccs/.

8. Customer and Contract Data
Processing of customer and contract data
We collect, process, and use personal customer and contract data for the purpose of establishing, structuring the content of, and amending our contractual relationships. We collect, process, and use personal data about the use of this website (usage data) only insofar as this is necessary in order to enable the user to use the service or to bill for it. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
The customer data collected is erased once the order has been completed or the business relationship has ended and any applicable statutory retention periods have expired. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
Transfer of data upon conclusion of a contract for services and digital content
We transfer personal data to third parties only if this is necessary within the scope of processing the contract, for example to the credit institution commissioned to handle the payment.
No further transfer of the data takes place, or only if you have expressly consented to the transfer. Your data is not passed on to third parties without express consent, for example for advertising purposes.
The basis for the data processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
9. Our Own Services
Handling of applicant data
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (for example by email, by post, via our contact form, or by message through our social media profiles). Below we inform you about the scope, purpose, and use of the personal data collected from you in the course of the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data takes place in accordance with applicable data protection law and all other statutory provisions, and that your data is treated in strict confidence.
Scope and purpose of the data collection
If you send us an application, we process the personal data associated with it (for example contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, and so on) insofar as this is necessary in order to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for this is Section 26 BDSG under German law (initiation of an employment relationship), Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (general initiation of a contract) and – if you have given consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Within our company, your personal data is passed on exclusively to persons who are involved in processing your application.
If the application is successful, the data you have submitted is stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the purpose of carrying out the employment relationship.
Retention period of the data
If we are unable to make you a job offer, if you decline a job offer, or if you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have submitted on the basis of our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for up to 6 months from the end of the application procedure (rejection or withdrawal of the application). The data is then erased and the physical application documents are destroyed. The retention serves in particular as evidence in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the 6-month period has expired (for example because of an imminent or pending legal dispute), erasure only takes place once the purpose for the further retention no longer applies.
Longer retention may also take place if you have given corresponding consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or if statutory retention obligations preclude erasure.
Inclusion in the applicant pool
If we do not make you a job offer, there may be the option of including you in our applicant pool. In the event of inclusion, all documents and details from the application are transferred to the applicant pool so that we can contact you if suitable vacancies arise.
Inclusion in the applicant pool takes place exclusively on the basis of your express consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Giving consent is voluntary and bears no relation to the ongoing application procedure. The data subject can withdraw their consent at any time. In this case, the data is irrevocably erased from the applicant pool, provided that there are no statutory grounds for retention.
The data in the applicant pool is irrevocably erased no later than two years after consent has been given.
